Peter Sondergaard, Senior Vice President at Gartner Research Institute, once said, "Data is the oil of the 21st century, and analytics is the internal combustion engine." If we liken data to oil, it holds no intrinsic value on its own. It's only through deep exploration and analysis of data that it can provide a new engine for business growth, creating true data assets. Therefore, on October 27, 2023, the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter organized a seminar titled "Improvement of Data-analytic Thinking." We specially invited Mr. Zhao Feng, a senior instructor from the Eddic Training Center, to discuss how business professionals can find breakthroughs in their operations through data analysis at the Sunwah Tianxi Innovation Center.

Mr. Zhao used real-world examples as a framework to discuss the thought process of data analysis, covering the purposes and metrics of data, identifying fundamental issues through data comparison and disassembling, finding the root causes of problems, and formulating solutions. He highlighted the significant role of data in problem analysis, optimizing resource allocation, and making objective decisions, all of which can greatly enhance the potential for performance improvement.
