So you can go into private equity like myself, or go to the ibd, corporate strategy or technology product. IBD probably the most unpopular exit

Firstly, after 2 years of strategy consulting, you probably don't want to go in ibd because it's painful. You also can go directly deprive equity. So why waste your time in ibd. But some people still do it,

If you want to take more of a chilled out route, you can go to corporate strategy.  When you leave strategy consulting, you'll have a salary of about 55, 60 k or maybe a little bit more like 65, and then you go to private equity, you're expected probably like 110 base salary with a bonus up to 100 %. Sometimes even 200 %.

Ibd you're probably gonna see maybe like a 8090 with again up to 100 % bonus, so that people find that quite attractive. This one is probably like, say the lazy option,  The lazy option where you probably leave, that may be like  50, like leave at 60, for example. And you probably get just under 100 k typically, i'd say with a bonus is much lower, maybe twenty, thirty %, max for your life is brilliant.

I wanna be clear tech consulting does not get into tech product roles. You have to do strategy consulting to go to of tech product roles because of this right product strategy. Right now, it is not as popular in the past. The reason for this is because to get this role is quite nice because you have a ninety seven ninety eight type of lifestyle with the same pay. But in the uk does not as much tech roles in the mainly in the us I just want to give a heads up, but that is a very good exit to go to, which is quite hard to enter as a grad.

Sure, definitely. Sales and trading, you get a lot of money for a 12 hour day job. But you can get fired any minute.  So I did S&T But I knew that was just like a temporary job.

Before I started strategy consulting, sales of trading is the biggest firing. Sales of trade. Equity research are the two roles in banks that's very easy to get fired. The type of barn was very brutal, one day you just turn up to work, and your past doesn't work. If you need a visa, I would highly recommend you stay away from increased research. And sales are trading, but you take on the risk,  Take on the risk and is very good in terms of like, it's very good in terms of like the money you get for the hours. But you may get fired tomorrow and you may lose your visa tomorrow. You have no idea. Because I was on the visa, then I didn't want to take that risk.

So that's why I switched from sales and trading to consulting. Because I knew I wouldn't do that in the long term. I use just kind of trying to start my Tier2 visa to start my ior process to get a faster. That's it. Because I think consulting wanted me to start in september, but I wanted to change my visa earlier.  I could stop my stop my indefinitely to remain earlier. So I could get my possible, which i'm going to apply for very soon earlier.

Those are the type of rules you can kind of like fit in if that makes sense. But that means that if you're the type that likes to risk your life, likes to risk your visa, and like some live on the edge, sales and trade is not a bad option for you. It's quite fun. You go out a lot, et cetera. It's quite fun. And the hours are very good. Like you will start at 6:00 am in the morning you finish at 6:00 pm

A: So even if you don't get into top to consulting, there are so many strategy consulting roles,  It is fine to spend 1 year there. Once you spend 1 year, it's very easy to move to a top tier. Strategy consulting, like very easy, much easier than graduate level.

If you get an offer to a boutique strategy consulting firm, it's very, very easy to move. And I highly recommend do that as well rather than going to audit or tax or back office banking, because once you're stuck with the auditor tax or et cetera, name is very, very tough,  It's very tough to move out. Boutique consulting pays 60 k for grads,  Boutique books pay a lot of money,  And their bonuses are can be cut or can be even 30 %,  Like if you're cutting name, but you're getting so much money. Does that make sense?

Like all the departments are not doing well. It's not that it's the department. Apartment goes bad. If the economy is not doing well, strategy consulting does badly, ibd does badly. It's also everything else,  Everything relies on strategy consulting, ibd private equity,

If private equity is not doing well, ibd doesn't do well, then consulting doesn't do well, and the tech doesn't do well. And then what happens? All the support functions like implementation consulting. Functional specialist industry specialist also does not do well.

And then back office doesn't do well, because ibd is not making money. If there's nothing to buy and sell the whole ecosystem breaks. Does that make sense? That's why the whole thing is centered around private equity, because they invest the money into corporate and technology,  And then they higher consulting ibd  And then the the ibd, they make the money to be able to pay back office banking, private wealth,  Private wealth invest into private equity for them to spend the money. So trying to take a cheap option or easier option, not cheap, but easier option to go to private banking, commercial banking, audit tax, it doesn't work,  Because auditors need to audit these companies, but if the companies are not working, then it doesn't work. Does that make sense?

Implementation console is not as exciting as it looks like. For many reasons, your projects are 3 to 5 years. No one goes into consulting to do a project for 3 to 5 years. It is very, very long. And then what you run into is your exit, so people sell you on consulting, great exits.But realistically, this is not the case. If you're not in strategy consulting, the lawyer essential tech consulting, you end up going to back office banking roles, or test the role, trust me, these rules are very boring, 

And also the pay is not very good as well, because as you can see here, pure pay is almost the same as being an auditor, 28-35k.  But the good thing, though, about it is your hours are much better. If you're ambitious, you sign up to offer master, et cetera,Likely, that's not your goal. 

Industry specialists firms. Analysis masion, portas, Trinity, Delta etc.

Earlier we talked they paid 60k. Very, very good. Delta partners just open office in london, which one of my friends just moved there from analysisa. Very good and it's very easy to go to mbb afterwards. If you search the amount of people that come from small firms and go to mbb it's super, super popular. These guys a very well trained up, you have great client exposure. Top people go here, then you go across.

Through this 10-weeks, the only difference is that you focus on industry if that makes sense. Again, the salary is good.  So that's the other thing you have to keep in mind, So you can easily exit from like you can easily exit. Very easy to get ibd very easy for corporate strategy, and not bad tech product as well.
