NWA 18200, Wan Zawatin 001 and Al Bir Lahlou 001 serve to extend the modal mineralogy of diogenitic meteorites towards anorthositic examples.These specimens (and all diogenites) are best interpreted as igneous cumulates, and are closely analogous to rocks in terrestrial layered mafic igneous intrusions such as the Stillwater Complex. These conclusions are independent of whether all three of these specimens derive from the same parent body, or in fact whether any diogenites derive from 4Vesta.
