Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with business partners and budget owners to understand and incorporate budget components 

- Demonstrate ability to prepare budget and forecast data based on system output and input from relevant divisions according to CHANEL’s budgeting calendar

- Able to design / revamp necessary reporting templates for business and budget owners to achieve efficient and effective forecasting

- Monitor changes in costs. Identify and actively manage discrepancies. Ensure figure accuracy and reliability

- Apply financial analysis techniques and leverage on advanced analytics tool to generate multiple business scenarios

- Provide timely, accurate, and reliable analysis / reporting of CHANEL's financial and operational results. Conduct post mortem review for projects.

- Apply understanding in the objectives of various business divisions and work with business partners to define how to measure the success of individual business campaigns, events and ephemeral boutiques / popups

- Demonstrate awareness of key industry trends and macro-economic changes - Able to identify and articulate issues, opportunities and the implications for CHANEL’s business from a short-term perspective

- Able to execute tasks and identify RACI for transactional processing and accounting activities

- Demonstrate basic understanding in internal processes, accounting terminologies, principles, local reporting and accounting standards

- Have a high-level understanding in the definition and hierarchy of CHANEL’s Chart of Accounts

- Demonstrate basic knowledge of terminologies of financial statements and presentational requirements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. HKFRS / IFRS)

- Practice CHANEL’s internal controls (manual and automated) at transactional level

- Able to articulate the needs for internal controls and has a working knowledge of compliance needs

- Escalate inappropriate behaviour / activities

- Demonstrate basic understanding in CHANEL’s risk exposure, environment and risk management practices and basic understanding of fraud related risks and identification of the general indicators of fraud

- Use system outputs to meet basic job requirements and apply basic tests for reasonability and accuracy

- Able to articulate system issues clearly to subject matter experts to ensure solutions can be identified and implemented.

- Comfortable with learning new system tools

- Able to adopt technological tools in business processes to meet job requirements - Able to articulate technical issues clearly and escalate to subject matter experts for resolution

- Able to identify RPA eligible processes and activities

- Able to coordinate with business users to collect detailed technical and functional requirements 

- Able to design and develop routine financial reports, self-serviced dashboards and analytics for internal stakeholders through tools, such as Power BI, macro excel. Display data in a way that is easy to understand for audience

Requirements:

- University degree in Business Administration with major in Finance, Accounting, Management Systems, or Economics, or Quantitative Finance

- Solid knowledge of accounting / financial concepts and principles

- Minimum 3 years working experience

- Solid experience in the retail industry of F&BP / FA / W&FJ or pricing expertise is preferred
