1.The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has applied for financing from Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Power Transmission Strengthening Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract for the Procurement of Goods – 500kV Double Circuit Quad Bundle Transmission Line from 500kV Maira Switching Station to 500kV Islamabad West Substation (approx. 131km), and 500kV double circuit transmission line from Maira Switching Station to Karot Switchyard (20km approx.) using ACSR “Drake” Conductor (“the Goods”).
The material shall be procured in seven (7) lots:

Bidders may submit their bid for one lot or any combination of lots.
·The Bidder or its proposed Manufacturer must have at least five (5) years design/ manufacturing experience of similar Goods of the respective Lot having similar or higher rating and capacity.
·The Bidder or its proposed Manufacturer shall have manufactured and supplied similar Goods of similar or higher rating and capacity in the quantities at least equal to 100 percent quantities of the respective Lot within a continuous period of fifteen (15) months during the last ten (10) years in a single or multiple contracts. The Goods supplied by the bidder should have been in satisfactory operation for a continuous period of at least three years on the date of bid opening.
·In case of JV, all partners combined should fulfill this requirement. The Bidders who are not manufacturers themselves shall furnish an authorization from the concerned manufacturer to submit a bid for supply of their goods to Pakistan against this tender.
