站台中国|吴杉展览文献《探幽》正式上线小程序 Wu Shan's Document Released Online

2023年7月1日至8月6日，吴杉在站台中国举办个展《探幽》。“探幽”将接续吴杉前两次个展的脉络，不止于作品内部的关联，而随时间步入未知的幽深处。1983年吴杉前往芝加哥艺术学院接受了完整的现代艺术教育，在西方生活工作的二十余年中，逐渐形成极具个人特质的抽象语言。简练而纤细的线以或“显”或“隐”的状态反复勾勒、浮现、交汇、恰合。2006年吴杉回到文人雅致气息浓厚的杭州生活与工作，选择了大漆这种特殊媒介，与过往形成的语言在巷弄与曲院间相遇。

About Artist

吴杉，1960年生于中国杭州，现生活和工作于杭州。1982年毕业于浙江美术学院油画系，1983年赴美国芝加哥艺术学院研究院学习后获硕士学位。2006年回国，任中国美术学院中德学院教授。曾在顺德华侨城盒子美术馆、南京北丘当代美术馆、华·美术馆、站台中国当代艺术机构、中国美术馆、湖北省美术馆、福建省美术馆、浙江美术馆、南京艺术学院美术馆、美国芝加哥艺术学院、美国威斯康新州马修弗德新视觉美术馆、印地安那州南本德美术馆、美国伊利诺州怀斯立洋大学莫威画廊、芝加哥海德公园艺术中心等画廊和机构举办展览。

Wu Shan, born in Hangzhou, China. Now he lives and works in Hang Zhou, He graduated in oil painting department in Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. In 1983, Wu Shan enrolled in Art Institute of Chicago to study printmaking in and received master’s degree. He returned to China in 2006 as professor of Chinese-German School of China Academy of Art.
