西樵是著名的中国纺织之乡，以纺织面料著称全国，素有“广纱甲天下、丝绸誉神州”之美名，荣获“中国面料名镇”、广东省“双提升”示范专业镇等荣誉称号，是国内十大纺织产业集群之一，是国内高档纺织面料的生产及集聚基地。
Xiqiao is a Chinese town known for its flourishing textile industry. Its textile fabrics enjoy a nationwide reputation. As the old saying goes, “Guangdong gauze is the best in the world and its silk is famous all across China.” Xiqiao has won many honorary titles, such as Famous Chinese Town of Fabrics and Professional Demonstration Town for Improving Independent Innovation Capacity and Industrial Competitiveness in Guangdong Province. It is ranked among the top 10 textile industry clusters and also the production and agglomeration base for high-end textile fabrics in China.
西樵镇纺织基地外贸转型升级示范基地自建设以来，积极推进纺织企业开展自主研发创新、“智造”赋能、品质提升，实现了西樵纺织产业外贸易从传统模式向多元格局发展，狠抓“创新平台、产业基地、交易市场、产业链条、区域品牌”五大主线，纵深推动西樵纺织产业向“绿色化、集群化、数智化、高端化、时尚化、链条化”高质量发展。
Since its establishment, Xiqiao Demonstration and Cultivation Base for Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading of Textile Industry has proactively supported textile enterprises in independent R&D, innovation, intelligent manufacturing and quality improvement. As a result, Xiqiao’s textile foreign trade has shifted from the traditional model to a diversified pattern. Efforts have also been made to promote the green, clustered, digital, intelligent, high-end, fashionable and chain-based development of Xiqiao’s textile industry in a profound and high-quality manner by building innovation platforms, industrial bases, trading markets, industrial chains and regional brands.
西樵纺织以休闲面料、特色牛仔以及家纺布艺为主，是多家知名品牌服装企业采购对象，并远销欧美韩日及东南亚等地。“西樵面料”“西樵家纺”区域品牌，享誉行业盛名。同时，产业链条拥有从原材料到纺丝、织造、印染、后整和服装的完整性和全面性。目前，全镇共有纺织服装企业840多家，形成了年产纺织面料40亿米生产能力的产业规模。西樵纺织产业基地始终践行绿色高质量发展战略，持续完善“三统一”循环经济发展模式，获评国家级绿色园区、第一批省级节水标杆园区、被授予联合国工发生态设计项目试点单位。
Xiqiao mainly produces leisure fabrics, featured denim and home textiles and fabrics and has established cooperative ties with a number of well-known clothing enterprises. Its products are exported to Europe, South Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia. Xiqiao Fabrics and Xiqiao Home Textiles have become renowned brands in the industry. In addition, Xiqiao boasts a well-functioning and comprehensive industrial chain, which covers raw materials, spinning, weaving, printing, dyeing, finishing and clothing. At present, Xiqiao is home to more than 840 textile and clothing enterprises with an annual production capacity of 4 billion meters of textile fabrics. The Base has always upheld the green and high-quality development strategy and worked hard to improve the recycling economy model featuring the centralized supply of industrial water, high-temperature steam and centralized sewage treatment. Due to these efforts, it has been awarded honorary titles such as National Green Industrial Park, the first group of provincial-level water-saving benchmarking industrial parks and UNIDO Pilot Site for Ecological Design.
